Klikk has been years in the making, but the idea of being able to store data securely, away from spilled coffee, system breakdowns and other disasters is nothing new. It started way back in the early 1970s, when the core Klikk team was either still in short shorts or just a glimmer in our father’s eyes. The technology, however, was lacking, and so was public need and knowledge.

When the Internet took the world by storm in the late 1990s, it was still largely based on data stored on local servers maintained by your company’s “computer guy”. When the dot com bubble burst, companies and tech developers were forced to rethink not only why they did business, but how. For smaller companies to survive without the big budgets needed to run an entire online operation by themselves, new approaches were needed.

Amazon spearheaded the shift, and competitors soon followed, large and small. By the early 2010s the term “cloud computing” was a commonly known term, and when 2016/2017 came around it was a billion dollar industry.

Still, something was missing. By 2015, the founders of Klikk had already been working on a brand new approach to VPS and cloud solutions for years, and now decided to dedicate their expertise in system architecture and market know-how to create a new, groundbreaking alternative: A solution tailored towards SMBs and large corporations, with easily accessible entry level packaging, unlimited scalability and top tier security measures.

Klikk.com’s unique combination of new and proprietary technologies merged with tried and tested solutions makes it a standout, but preserves market comparability.

After three years of intense development and rigorous testing, Klikk.com was launched to market in Q2 2018, with Germany as the primary target market. Headquartered in Stavanger, Norway with additional offices in Frankfurt, Germany, Klikk aims to expand globally within a few years, offering a high quality, affordable and attractive alternative to an otherwise complex industry.
